  • Carve out time for yourself: When I was struggling to find myself, I was also chronically stressed. It was when I reached burnout and had to stop working and hustling that I was really able to have time for myself. That’s when I was able to connect with my true desires and values. This could be as simple as taking a walk in nature or practicing yoga.
  • Listen to your body: My body was a source of constant pain and fatigue due to my past struggles with C-PTSD and burnout. But once I started paying attention to my body and giving it the care and attention it needed, I began to heal. Yoga, mindfulness, and bodywork have been especially helpful to me.
  • Follow your passions: For years, I was so busy trying to be what others expected me to be that I neglected my own needs. But once I started pursuing the things that brought me joy, like mindfulness and somatic embodiment, that I began to connect with my true self and my purpose in life.
  • Embrace your imperfections: It wasn’t until I stopped trying to be perfect that I was able to embrace my authentic self. We all have quirks and flaws, but they’re what make us unique. Embrace your true self and let your light shine through.

Remember, meeting yourself is a journey, not a destination. It takes time, patience, and self-compassion. But the rewards of living an authentic, purpose-driven life are well worth it.
